About Caroline Spurr

Hey there, I’m Caroline!

Nutrition has been a long-held value for me, though, as a young girl, I took healthy eating too far. I refused fast food and controlled food intake too rigidly, only to overeat on socially acceptable occasions where an abundance of food was present. With education, practice, and patience, I’ve found a balance between healthy eating and enjoyment; a unique perspective on food that I love sharing with others. I help people regain control over food so they can eat without guilt and ditch diets for good. I practice with body neutrality, follow intuitive eating principles and am skilled at guiding people through healthy weight management and health optimization.

I earned my degree in Dietetics from Mount Saint Vincent University in my home province, Nova Scotia. I have been practising dietetics since 2017 and am registered in BC and Alberta.

In addition to my nutrition experience, I have taught English abroad for 3 years. Being able to step into another career path has shown me the challenges of keeping nutrition a priority. I can empathize more with busy people trying to find a place for nutrition in their lives amongst all the other competing priorities. My day always starts with a coffee and finishes with a chapter from a book. I have an insatiable travel bug and curiosity for the world. Joyful movement is a staple in my life and comes in many forms (weightlifting, yoga, walking, tennis, and more).  I love to cook, bake and of course, eat.
