Sulphites (or sulfites) are an inorganic salt that are used in the preservation of food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. As a general rule, sulphites are safe for the majority of the population. However, there are some people who react poorly when exposed to sulphites. 

Symptoms of sulphite sensitivity

Chest Congestion

Asthmatic reaction

Dizziness

Nausea and/or vomiting

Gastrointestinal pain and loose stool/diarrhea

Headache

Skin issues such as flushing, itching, hives, and eczema
